MEET THE TEAM
SANCTUARY OF TAO STAFF

Patrick Gross, main instructor, tech support, and administrator of the Sanctuary of Tao, started learning Tai Chi from Stuart in 1992. He became Stuart’s primary student (Da Shi Xiong) in 2000. Patrick has been working for the last thirty years to preserve and present the teachings Stuart learned from Master Liang and other notable teachers. One of those efforts has been co-authoring with Stuart the Tai Chi Changes book.

Suzanne Nosko started studying with Stuart in 2017, and then in 2019, moved to Phoenix, Arizona to further her studies with him and to work with Sanctuary of Tao. Currently, the Spanish translator and artist for the Sanctuary of Tao, she recently completed with Stuart the Scripture on Tao and Virtue (Tao De Jing): Escritura Sobre Tao y Virtud (Valley Spirit Arts, 2019), including creating the cover art. As an RN, she brings a unique medical understanding to the health aspects of Taoism.

Lily Romaine Shank, coordinator of programs and outreach, read one of Stuart’s books in 2007 and moved to Phoenix from Minneapolis, Minnesota to study with him. Her main focuses are cultivating health, mindfulness, and compassion through Taoism.
