The teacher of this webinar:
Stuart Alve Olson
Author of The Immortal, True Accounts of the 250-Year-Old Man and Guiding Teacher of the Sanctuary of Tao

Stuart learned about Li Qingyun from his teacher, Master T.T. Liang (1900–2002), who had learned from fifteen great masters in China and Taiwan. Master Liang was a friend and colleague of Yang Sen, who met Li Qingyun and recorded his teachings in his book Er Bai Liu Shi Sui Ren Rui Shi Ji: An Authentic and True Record of the 250-Year-Old Man, which Stuart’s book is a translation of and commentary on.
Master Liang believed Li Qingyun’s teachings were essential for longevity and spiritual transformation. So he urged Stuart to study and translate Li Qingyun’s teachings and to learn and practice them.Â
Following Li Qingyun’s wisdom has helped Stuart enjoy excellent health into his golden years. He now wants to pass on these teachings so that others can discover this portal to greater vitality, clarity, and tranquility.
“After having read some of Stuart Alve Olson’s books, I finally was able to find a translator of early Daoist texts that was not only making sense of all of this but was speaking to me as if an old friend was sitting next to me with a good cup of tea and having a fun and interesting dialogue. Someone finally made practical sense of a tradition that has been uselessly hidden in plain sight with symbols and language that obscured the obvious.Â
Stuart has made a point of doing away with all of the obscurities and getting right to the point. I have studied with many enlightened teachers and I count Stuart among them. But, better yet, I consider Stuart to be like the immortals of old who tread lightly on this earth who point to the Tao with laughter and a smile.”Â
