HAPPY NEW YEAR!

WATER TIGER YEAR
The Sanctuary of Tao wishes you many blessings for the Water Tiger year. We are so grateful you are a part of this community, and we're looking forward to a wonderful year to come!
In honor of the Chinese New Year, the Guiding Teacher at the Sanctuary of Tao, Stuart Alve Olson, gave this 15-minute talk on the upcoming astrology for the year.
Here is a transcript of the overview of the year for those who prefer to read:
"As far as spiritual cultivation is concerned, this is a really good year to undertake renewed efforts toward your cultivation. In Internal Alchemy, Dragon and Tiger Years are considered the best years for undertaking spiritual cultivation.
The Tiger for the most part represents Jing energy, which is essential to cultivation, and therefore renewing your efforts to rejuvenate the water aspects of your cultivation is very useful. So I encourage everybody, no matter your lunar sign, to undertake renewed spiritual efforts.
The Tiger has a lot of energy, its Qi is very strong. It is going to demonstrate that this year, it’s going to cause shake-ups. It’s actually a very good thing. It doesn’t look like it at the time, but the Tiger is going to bring about great change.
You can look at this year as going to be almost historic, this is a convergence of energies, of yang water coupled with the Tiger, this is strong stuff. Tigers bring good fortune. It could look bad, but it’s not. The Tiger is cleaning house.
It’s why spiritual cultivation would be so good this year. Because when you cultivate, you’re not creating any type of dilemmas, you are just practicing and instilling calmness and harmony into the world when you cultivate, and that’s going to please the Tiger.
Really try to apply what you’ve learned in the most sincere and consistent way possible, it will really pay off. There will be many changes coming about.”
